Happy OctoberJ Here is your Tuesday Morning Pop Quiz:
1.      Who did God save from the flood? Noah and his family and two of each kind of animal were saved from the flood.
2.      Why did God save Noah and his family from the flood? God saved Noah and his family because Noah loved God with his whole heart and was always faithful to Him.
3.      What does repent mean? Repent means to turn away from sin.
4.      In whom do we find forgiveness? JESUS
5.      What was the most important thing boys learned at Mesopotamian schools? They learned to write.
6.      What did the boys use to write? They wrote with wedges on clay tablets.
7.      What was the writing called? The writing was called cuneiform.

Good Morning First Grade Team!
Here is your Wednesday morning POP Quiz:
1.       What was the name of the important city in Mesopotamia? UR
2.       What was the name of the first written story in the world called? Gilgamesh
3.       Why Mesopotamia  nicknamed “The cradle of Civilization”? It was nicknamed the cradle of civilization because it is the place where the first civilization was born and began to grow up.
4.       What were the temples in Mesopotamia called? Ziggurats.
5.       Why is reading and writing important to civilizations? It’s important because it passes on information and ideas.
6.       How did God save Baby Moses from Pharaoh? He had Pharaoh’s daughter rescue him from the Nile River.

5.      What did you do during centers with Jackson’s mom? I wrote about how I am a bucket filler.
6.      What did you do during centers with Mrs. Snyder?  I read about Johnny Appleseed.
